Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee

Description

This folder is largely comprised of SNCC administrative documents, position papers, and proposals for new organizational programs. Included in this collection are: a series of working papers seeking to plan a "South-Wide People's Conference;" a memorandum regarding the establishment of a "SNCC African Project;" and a position paper, entitled "Us and Peace," which questions whether officially denouncing the Vietnam War was in the long-term strategic interests of SNCC. In addition to this, a significant portion of the documents in this folder provide information on the 1965 boycott in Natchez, Mississippi.
