Description

Holograph.There is a note perhaps written by Anne Warren Weston on the flap of the envelope. She wrote: "E.G.L. [Ellis Gray Loring] says that F. Channing [William Francis Channing] is going to devote not merely all his income to the Free Soil, but will go as far as his credit will carry him." Wendell Phillips is doing well.The envelope is addressed to: "Miss Caroline Weston, 17 Rue de Clichy, Paris." In the upper left corner, it is marked "Britannia." The rest of the address has been crossed out.
