Holograph, signedJohn Bishop Estlin begins the letter to Anne Warren Weston: "Many thanks, kind friend, for your affectionate letter to Mary of June 20th." He continues the letter by commenting: "Tho' suddenly smitten ... I have retired into a tranquil seclusion abounding in comfort, enabled to contemplate a lot. ...I have never had such time for reading as now, & can read with perfect ease & enjoyment." He regrets not having seen Emma Weston when she was in LondonIncludes accompanying envelope
