Description

Holograph, signed.Caroline Weston says that Anne Warren Weston went to Hamilton with R.[ichard] Hildreth. "The fair has been holding & we had a Christmas party at Chauncy place." Martha V. Ball has smallpox. Caroline will send a parcel for the New Bedford fair, and she enumerates the towns provided with articles for their fairs. Caroline has received a letter from Lucia Weston reporting "great alarm about the small pox." Caroline hopes they will all be vaccinated.
