"In February 2003, the NMA convened a consensus panel to extensively review the literature and evaluate the problems associated with asthma in the African-American community. The consensus session laid out an 18-month process for further review of the deliberations and analysis of the data relating to asthma among African Americans. The final consensus panel report is an attempt to engage the community of African-American physicians and those who care for Aftrican Americans with asthma in the struggle to improve asthma outcomes."Cover title.Includes bibliographical references (p. 27).
