Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript is composed in black ink over white paper. Below the second line, there is the number "104" written in pencil. There is also a purple stamp with the words "Phelps MSS."Reverend Edward Royall (E.R.) Tyler writes to Amos A. Phelps presenting statistics on the numbers of Baptist abolitionists and opposers in the state of Connecticut. He writes that "the Baptists are much fewer in number in this state than the Congregationalists, they having only about 11 ministers + we about 190" but concludes a list of the Baptists and their respective towns.
