Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Samuel May Jr. says that he is glad William Lloyd Garrison secured the fund for George Thompson’s trip to England. He says that, given Thompson’s poor health, it would be better for Thompson to find a way to stay home in England rather than returning to the US. He says he and Sewall has been raising funds for Thompson as well. Finally, May asks Garrison whether he would like to make a statement for the Master in Chancery regarding the bequest of Francis Jackson.
