Description
View of the installation of the Holocaust Memorial by Elbert Weinberg on the grounds of the Jewish Community Center on Bloomfield Avenue in West Hartford, Connecticut. The memorial is in the form of two huge arms holding aloft a shofar. In this view, both arms are in place. A man stands on a ladder apparently checking the distance between them. Another man stands on the ground. One of the men appears to be African-American. A large truck is in the background. The West Hartford Holocaust Memorial was dedicated in October 1981. This slide was probably made shortly before that event.
