Holograph, signed.Mrs. Mary Welsh tells of the formation of a ladies' committee to work for the Massachusetts Society. The fact that the Free Church has been taking money from slave holders in the United States "is causing a wonderful agitation here." Henry C. Wright, who has been here several weeks and has opened people's eyes. Mrs. Mary Welsh acknowledges the receipt of the Standard. Although living in Edinburgh now, Mary Welsh maintains her connection with the Glasgow society.This letter is accompanied by an envelope with the delivery address Mrs. Maria Weston Chapman, Boston, United States.
