They are wearing signs that read, "We Want Negro Jurors," "Justice for Every Man," and "We Protest Unequal Justice." The post office and World War I monument are visible across the street. This image was taken for (but not used in) the article "The Movement Comes to Wallace's Home" by Mary Ellen Gale, which appeared on page 4 of The Southern Courier for November 27-28, 1965.
