Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript contains a second letter written in pencil titled "Dear Husband." The author of this letter is difficult to make out. The letter reveals that the wife is very sick with an "attack upon the lungs."Elizur Wright Jr. writes to Amos A. Phelps regarding the demand for Phelps and [George] Thompson to visit Western New York to lecture. He writes that "in the mean time the brethren in Rochester" have requested the committee to "send you with trumpet tongues." He writes of the necessity to procure more agents and writes, "they will commission as many such as they can find."
